What To Expect
A typical Sunday morning at FUMC* begins at around 9:30, when people start arriving for the Sunday School hour. Doughnuts, pastries, orange juice and coffee are served in the Fellowship Hall for anyone who would like to enjoy a little breakfast while visiting before class begins.
Sunday School begins at 9:45 and lasts until about 10:30. At that time, the choir meets in the choir room for practice, and folks begin making their way into the Sanctuary to prepare for worship.
Promptly at 10:50, the bells ring, signaling the start of worship.
We follow a pattern of worship that includes music, announcements, prayer, congregational liturgy, and singing of hymns before the sermon. Special music is performed during the offering, which follows the sermon. A closing hymn, followed by a benediction, concludes the service.
