Our Ministry Team
Meet our Ministry Team
Rev. Cassie Wade – Pastor
Cassie has been the Senior Pastor since January 2015. In this role, she works with staff and lay leadership to set the vision and mission of this congregation. Cassie is also the primary preacher in worship, leading people to go forth to serve God and our neighbors in love. Cassie is a graduate of University of Texas – Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and holds a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. She is the wife of Kelly, the mother of two grown daughters, and grandmother to three amazing grandchildren. She is passionate about ministry in Jacksboro. When she is not preparing for Sunday, she may be found either piecing quilts (a hobby she discovered here in Jacksboro) or RVing with Kelly.
Karlene Boucher – Choir Director
Karlene has been a member of our staff since September 2015. She brings her passion for church music by directing our choir and accompanying the congregational singing on the organ and piano. Karlene also directs our Christmas Cantata and arranges for special music throughout the year. Karlene is the mother of two grown children and grandmother to four grandchildren. When she is not preparing for music at FUMC, she enjoys participating in several civic music organizations in Wichita Falls (where she lives) and teaching young people to fall in love with the piano.
Judy Craft – Office Manager
Judy has been running the church office for nearly four decades. She came to work for us temporarily and has not left – thanks be to God. She keeps order to our calendar, our finances, and is an integral part of our Sunday morning AV team. Judy grew up in Jacksboro and this church. She is the mother of two grown children and grandmother to one grandchild. Judy enjoys gospel music concerts, reading, and ranching.
Crystal Rose Venable – Nursery Director
Our newest staff member, Crystal, is known by her friends and family as “the baby whisperer”. Indeed, she has a way of calming and bringing a smile or giggle to even the grumpiest little one. When she’s not cuddling on our precious little ones at church, Crystal works at the local Dollar General Store. When you drop off your child at our nursery, you can be assured that he or she will be in very caring, capable hands!
